How long does it take from Narita to Shinjuku??
Yes Haneda is a lot closer to the downtown Tokyo but Narita's facilities are a lot more spacious including after-security shops, gate area, airline lounges and duty free shops, especially after the recent innovation aiming for the Olympic. I also felt that the staff members at narita, both airline and other facilities, are more experienced at handling various needs of the passengers.
MoreHaneda is clearly better, but it’s not either. They should fix their robots, though. They seem to measure temperature of the metal poles instead of people.
MoreAirport personnel are courteous and friendly. They do have mandatory swab testing for all passengers entering Japan surprisingly it took a short time to get the results. Really well done!
MoreReally had a good time over there
Japanese airport is so clean and travel friendly. I always enjoy my connecting flights from here. Food inside is pricey, as all airports are, but it's alright.
MoreHuge bustling airport with some great shopping too.
The airport is clean and the staff is so polite.
This review is just for one particular woman who helped us at the lost baggage desk. She dedicated so much time to helping us and went way out of her way to make calls, fill out forms and contact various people on our behalf. She was genuinely concerned for our trip and well being, I was touched!
MoreI was in their terminal 1 and it's really nice lots of shops and the info touch screen is really helpful to identified the exact location. From prayer room to smoking room they have all amenities available.I love their bidet in their toilet/restrooms . The prayer room is available for all religion. From meat lovers to vegetarian to halal food available. Duty free shops to buy anything tax free. Luxurious shop if you have extra to spends
MoreWorld class airport. Very efficient going through customs; fastest of any airport I’ve been. Washrooms and common areas are clean. Lots of food and shopping options. Everyone is well mannered and respectful. Entirely opposite of US Airports. ANA lounge is nice and has well stocked bar. Only downside is bit far from Tokyo; 1 hour train or bus.
MoreAmazing airport, the bathrooms accommodate with your needs, shower rooms, changing rooms, very clean. The people are very friendly and welcoming.
MoreGreat airport which is very comfortable. Not too big but the dining options are still pretty good. The staff here work very efficiently to make sure customs is as quick as it can be. Connections to other locations via taxi, bus or train are very good and it is easy to get to Tokyo via all of the above
MoreVery nice Airport. Very efficient. Spotless. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean. The customer service here is excellent. Everyone here is very helpful and eager to help out in anyway possible.
MoreNice airport with great, helpful staff. My favorite point is that they have an observation deck that is open to the public. If you have a lot of time between flights it's a great place to hangout and get some sun.
MoreExcellent facilities on the airport. Especially the hotels around Narita. The guided free tours and fabulous infrastructure to promote tourism by government of Japan.
MoreIn 2001 we spent the night at the Tokyo Hotel in Japan the hotel was nice and neet The breckfast was good and the coffee was corn and it was good and then we flew To Manila Philippines
MoreWorld class and highly efficient airport. Going through immigration both arrival and departure is fast while luggage scan is speedy too. They even use Facial Recognition technology in their immigration process to speed up passport check and you can get off to gates almost in no time. Also there are lots of shops, restaurants and convenience stores at each terminal which makes last minute shopping easy. Going to and from airport is also convenient with various modes of transportation available for your selection. Two thumbs up!
MoreNice and clean Airport. Supportive staff members. But due to lock down, look full empty.
MoreWhat I want to say about Japanese people very friendly and highly professional from A to Z. I will love to visit again in the future.
MoreTokyo's 2nd airport, and though it is considerably farther away from downtown Tokyo than Haneda, it more than makes up for it for being much more modern and comfortable than its counterpart. It is extremely clean, very efficient, and the interior decoration is modern and beautiful. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be too many food options in Terminal 1, at least that I could find. But otherwise great airport. It's worth noting that they no longer stamp your passport as you exit Japan, though you can still ask the immigration officer located past the automated immigration machines if you can get your exit stamp, if that is important to you.
MoreHighly efficient, well run world class international airport with three terminals. Many nice shopping n F&B outlets. Japanese airport workers are very helpful n friendly assisting wherever they can. I was transiting on my way to USA n back home again n found the airport to be user friendly for someone like me who could not speak Japanese n still new to traveling. Good to see they employ senior citizens too! Signboards were placed correctly at strategic locations. Good job.I passed through Narita once again going home to Malaysia from a holiday in Japan. Once again, it was a pleasant experience. We were assisted by a polite n helpful young man to check in n extract our boarding pass. No complaints.
MoreAirport was clean and convenient. (2020) PCR test results takes 5to6 hours and you have to stay in box like cat.) Free water, bread and mango juice. Smoking is prohibited all airport area and you have to smoke in a small area at the outside of the building. Friendly staff.
MoreVisit for tsansit, anywhere so clean and tidy:)
A masterclass Airport connecting Japan with the rest world. I had a transit over 2 hours here which finished so fast doing these things-1. Explore showers for the travellers2. Finding out two Super quality TOTO sponsored baby feeding room for my baby. 3. All the bathrooms are well fitted with AI equipments.4. High quality eateries 5. Explore gift shops. This is what I could do in two and half hours. This airport increased my thirst to explore Japan. I can’t wait to enter again in the upcoming July!Thank you #Narita, thank you #Japan
MoreWas not very impressed with the airport, thought it would be nicer, and almost nobody spoke English too, was very surprised that most Japanese employees at the airport did not speak English. It was clean though.
MoreFor arriving its a great airport. The staff at immigration and security are very welcoming and friendly.Highly efficient, for transportation when taking a bus or metro.I didn't give it 5 stars because this airport is only good for arrival, but for departure is a whole different thing. The staff at departure are cold and somewhat rude. That's why I can give it a 4 star maximum.
MoreNice Airport neat and clean. Staff here from immigration to the exit gate are very helpful.I had very good experience to visit Tokyo😊
Morei have always had great experience at Narita airport....however while my visit, one of the staff was rude to me as well as many others....I hope that was just an exception and will be improved
MoreLost all my bottles (3) of water from the airplane because I had to go through another security check between flights! Why? I did not leave the airport. They want my patronage to buy their own water bottles? And it’s all Japanese food though it’s an “international” airport. The world is bigger than Japan. I ate Starbucks because that’s all they had outside the Japanese restaurants. Avoiding this airport now.
MoreBeautiful airport with everything you need or want to get through your day or days of travel. Everyone is really. Ice and helpful and I loved visiting Japan as a whole. Everyone is very accompanying and thoughtful and aware and will take the time to help you if need it. I look forward to the day when I can go and visit again and spend time with my family there and have a great time traveling and exploring.everyone is so nice and I love the vending machines and I love all the different little stores that are there.i have a baby now so travel is a little more difficult but I imagine I will be visiting again one day.
MoreMassive, modern and sleek with quick access to rail transportation.
The best in class airport. Very swift transit from terminals. The customs and immigration people are friendly and can guide you if you're struck. Nice duty free shops available with premium boutiques spawn inside. I would love to be there again...Cheers!
MoreReally displeased with this airport. Since my flight is really early in the morning and there are no public transportations for me to arrive on time, I arrived one day earlier in the evening. Unlike other airports I've been to like Frankfurt, Shanghai etc. This airport's shops all closed down at around 21:30. There is not one single shop open.Another major problem is that all levels are closed down except for the 1st floor. I was asked by security to leave my quite comfy seating place to the 1st floor, and when I sat down in a passage I was told again to leave to one area. At that area there were all remaining travellers who would stay overnight. The thing is this area is really small and there are only hard plastic seats. It feels like we are disregarded like animals to stay in this small area. Other airports provide a lot of seating areas and places to rest, unlike this one. And the complete closing of all shops just adds to the negative impressions I got.
MoreOne of the modern and well maintained airports. Train station is right below the airport, very convenient to get to Tokyo through Narita Express. There are two Terminals. Airport has several choice of restaurant and other modern facilities. Also Limousine bus services are available from airport to get to different places.
MoreGreat place, well designed with many branded and tax free souvenir shops to shop at your convenience
MoreNewly renovated for Tokyo 2020 Olympics and almost no one here at all sadly
World-class airport. Immigration process is very fast. So many duty free shops at departure area.
MoreNrt Airport. All airport services nice including cleaning, hygiene and etc thanks for all staffs
Moreİt is the best airport I've seen in mu life. All employees are very respectful, same time all Japanese people are really respectful. Someday I will settle in Japan. ✌
MoreNo public transportations from/to this airport after midnight and it is so bad since NRT is Japan’a main airport. Many of my friends have taken a 300USD taxi ride to make an early morning flight from the center of Tokyo, and yes it’s very far from the city center...
MoreThis was the first time I entered Japanese soil back in February this year and it was definitely an overwhelming feeling beeing in this great country. I always wanted to learn the language and culture and the airport was a perfect start to overwhelm me with Kanjis. lolFortunately they had a lot of menus in English and it was not a problem to get around. It was just a three hours transit but it was a good start for my Japanese language & cultural adventure!:)
MoreGreat place to stop. Definitely an upgrade from Canadian airports. But there are a few terminals that AC is off. It was super hot in the summer.
MoreI'm always thankful of flying through Narita. This is an exceptional airport that is so easy to navigate around. The food selection and duty-free shopping is top class, and there's plenty of entertainment to occupy your time with on long layovers. The one awesome thing I saw was when we were taxiing away from the terminal, the ground staff were all waving goodbye and all bowed at us. I have never seen this gesture before. It goes to show how much they care for our comfort, well being and safety. Bravo, Narita!
MoreEverything runs smoothly and any issues are quickly fixed. Luggage is handled with care, easy to check in. Many affordable shops and restaurants to choose from, there is always something to do while waiting. The airport staff couldn't be more helpful and kind.
MoreThe airport is under going renovations and getting ready for Tokyo Olympic 2020. The portions that are completed look very nice and comfortable. It has lots of shops and food after you go through the custom so make sure you arrive a little earlier if you want to do some last minute shopping.
Morewe almost missed our flight because we were super late and the customer service people at Singapore Airlines literally accompanied us via shortcuts to make it to our flight just in time. I was so grateful! The airport is super clean, everyone is nice, there is transportation to Tokyo and from the city etc. Great experience!
MoreClean and convenient, good shop, new anime section
Had a great time getting lost here , many levels to explore. Shopping was a great distraction . Many of the non English speaking staff went out of there way to help us in Terminal 2 . Kudos to them and thank you Narita.
MoreOverall the layout of the airport has a lot of room with many gates. However, Arriving at Narita depending on which landing strip you land you could be on the plane for a while to get to your gate. The airport has a lot of well-displayed signage and since the Olympics are near they have done a lot of work to make all travellers welcomed. The International arrival currently going through some renovations which are expected. Immigration and Customs were professional and friendly. Many options of transportation are available upon your arrival and the information center is very knowledgeable and provides friendly service. Highly recommend the ¥1000 bus from Narita to Tokyo Station. Overall a great airport for International arrival and Departure. Domestic not so much and let's leave it at that.
MoreWhen I visit Japan, I usually use Narita, and when I do I like to arrive at the airport early because I love to browse the shopping and dining options. The shopping and dining area is very appealing and clean. There also is an observation deck with great views near one food court; I've never seen such a spacious observation deck at an airport, and I've heard some people come just to watch the planes. Going through immigration and security always is fast and efficient, with the latest technology helping us whizz through the needed tasks. Staffers at "information" desks are always ready to help. Sure to be the first highlight of many a visit to Japan!
